Adieu, Goodbye, Auf Wiedersehen to Legacy Belbin Interplace 7

June 30th 2026 will see the much-loved and long-serving Belbin Interplace 7 system officially retired.

After many years of faithful service, Interplace 7 will be switched off permanently June 30th 2026, making way for the fully embedded, enhanced and more powerful Interplace 8 platform.

If you are still using the legacy system, we strongly encourage you to make the transition to the latest online version. The latest version, Interplace 8, has been successfully running for four years, and so if you have been set up recently then you'll already be on the latest version.

If still using the legacy system 7, the shift / upgrade process is straightforward, and we will be delighted to support you every step of the way. The majority of Belbin Australia clients have already made the move smoothly and are enjoying the benefits of the updated system.

Please note that data cannot be transferred between Interplace 7 and Interplace 8. However, as Belbin measures workplace behaviour rather than fixed personality traits, reports are designed to reflect current behavioural contributions and therefore have a natural shelf life in any case.

SUGGESTED ACTIONS TO TAKE:

1. Let us set you up in the new Interplace 8 Online System.

2. If there is any data in the legacy system that you may wish to keep, back it up as PDF from within your system before June 30th 2026.

The switching off of Interplace 7 has been held off now for several years to accommodate those wishing to time their transitions. The final 'switch-off', widely promoted in our online and email update materials, was inevitable as the latest 8 system is not only far superior in all respects, but it contains the latest, and now essential, data and privacy security settings required under GDPR and similar global guidelines.
